Nineteen of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his first championship for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a torrid year, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with former trainer Gilles Cervara.
Now working with Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's first title after the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt since spring of that year.
Success also signifies the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my children together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my child Victoria, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and recurring reactions on the playing surface had prompted commentators to doubt if his ability to play at the highest level was concluded.
However the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serve.
He recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky opponent, taking four of the last five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial professional championship, seized the initiative to force a third set.
He defended four initial chances in a competitive third set before Medvedev broke to 15 to serve for the match.
Suitably, he earned the win with a rally at the net, with Moutet failing to manage a return after over two and a half hours.
