I'll overwhelm 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
